Traffic Enforcement Technology (Photo Laser)
Council received as information a presentation by Richard Kracher,
general manager of Global Traffic Group, regarding the possible use of photo
laser technology to supplement and enhance traffic safety enforcement in
Lacombe.
Cemetery Services
Cemetery Bylaw and Policies
Council provided second and third readings to Bylaw
356.1, a bylaw to amend Bylaw 356, to regulate and control cemeteries operated
and maintained by the City of Lacombe, as amended.
Council also approved a number of related cemetery
polices.

2012
Lacombe Foundation Requisition
Council passed a resolution to
approve payment of the 2012 municipal requisition from the Lacombe Foundation
in the amount of $100,373.
Streets and Roads
Local
Improvement Plan – 49 Avenue
Council passed a resolution to adopt the Local Improvement Plan for the
49th Avenue Sanitary Sewer Service re-linings, as presented.

Property Tax Rate
Council passed a resolution to adopt the proposed
budget adjustments to the 2012 operating budget as presented.
As well, Council gave first reading to Bylaw 376, a
bylaw to set a rate for the levy on assessed value of property subject to
taxation for the 2012 financial year, as presented.

Receivable
Council authorized Administration to
write-off a number of Utilities Accounts totaling $18,864.97 in 2011 and $323.31
in 2012 that have been identified as delinquent and unrecoverable
Council and Legislative
Request
for Proposal
Council defeated a resolution to enter into a
one-year contract with The Raspberry Patch to provide food and beverage service
at City functions for a cost of $12.00 per person, beginning May 1, 2012 and
ending April 30, 2013.

Council moved In Camera to discuss a land
matter.
Council went back into Open Meeting.
