Scouts Bean Supper at City Hall

On Monday, February 27, 2012, Council invited the 1st Lacombe Scouts to City Hall in order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of  the Scouts Bean Supper. Members of the the First Lacombe Scouts served Mayor Steve Christie, Councillor Ian Foster, MLA Ray Prins and others with a yummy bean supper. The group also provided Council with a update.

"Scouting has a strong tradition in Lacombe, with the organization being in existence for over a hundred years in our community," said Scouts representative Jana Fafard.

Some of the boys serving the bean supper at City Hall will be eligible to attend the Sylvan Lake Jamboree in 2013, and others will be able to attend the World Jamboree in Japan in 2015.
